The Artists Guild of Manatee was originally created in 1999 as a non-profit with a mission that states to:
‘Build a community where artists live and work while enhancing quality of life and creating a harmonious environment.’
The Guild and Village residents have worked hard together to create this unique neighborhood community which has become nationally recognized for its ability to nurture local artists.
The Village has grown dramatically since its inception and has been transformed from a neighborhood falling into disrepair, to one of the most unique visitor experiences in Manatee County. The Village works along side United Way Manatee and Realize Bradenton to enable planning and space to many nonprofit organizations.
The Village of the Arts community hosts regular events which showcase the neighborhood artists, restaurants, healing centers and alternative forms of craftsmanship. The monthly Art-walks encourage visitors to experience the amazing work offered by the artists and the opportunity for the Village merchants to introduce their businesses to the local and visiting patrons.
The Village of the Arts offers a unique residential experience for those with an artistic flair.
