It’s Summertime and you want to go and explore and hang out in the wonderful sunshine but you don’t want to leave your best friend at home. Don’t worry. There are plenty of places that will welcome your furry friend.
BRADENTON, FL
DeSota National Park – You will need to keep your dog on a leash at all times while in the park. There are shaded trails to enjoy as well as a nice little beach where you can take a quick dip to cool off.
Robinson Preserve – With a few trails to choose from, Robinson Preserve is a lovely nature walk bordering the Manatee River and Perico Bayou. The Preserve provides waste bags, water fountains, and hoses at the parking lot, but not within the park. Do take water for your pups – the trails can get hot and there isn’t much shade. You can also launch your kayak and enjoy a few hours going around the preserve. Make sure to check out the observation tower, which provides clear views to Tampa Bay.
Palma Sola Causeway – Dog friendly beach. North side of the causeway has grills, picnic shelters / tables and restrooms.
Always remember to bring water!!
If you are looking for other dog friendly places like hotels, restaurants and events in Bradenton or in other cities visit the website Bring Fido.
Have a great summer and remember – you don’t have to leave the fur baby at home!
